Seeking Art Submissions for Loud and Queer!
The Ketchikan Queer Collective invites you to submit your work! The Collective is seeking pieces that reflect the Queer experience in Southeast Alaska. We accept and respond to submissions on a rolling basis.
What are we looking for?
Visual Art: drawings, paintings, cartoons, collage, photography, etc. Creative Writing: poetry, quotes or excerpts from songs or literature, interviews, opinion pieces, dialogues, manifestos, letters, journal entries, short stories (fiction + nonfiction), and more!
All skill levels welcome!
Not the artist type? Submit a photo of queer joy to share with your LGBTQ+ siblings instead!
Design our next issue cover!
Your art could be on the front cover of Loud and Queer!
Include the title “Loud and Queer!” and “Based in Ketchikan - Representing Southeast Alaska”
Submission Guidelines
Have a personal connection to Alaska
For example: live here, have lived here, work here, have visited here
Please keep written works to around 300 words (around one page)
Send all submissions to: loudandqueerketchikan@gmail.com
Please include: Your name, pronouns, how you would like to be identified (for example: lesbian, gay, transgender, queer, asexual, ally, ect.), location, and describe your connection to Southeast Alaska.
You may also submit work anonymously (just let us know!)
